The Show

The Love Project is a solo theatrical performance piece following one man (me) on a journey to find, understand, and believe in love.

I figured the best way to achieve my goal of love enlightenment was to speak to people who have experienced love for themselves.  For the past two years and continuing today, I interview folks from all walks of life regarding their experiences with love, sex, romance, break-ups, break-downs, divorces, soul mates, you name it.  During the show I perform as the participants themselves with the words they spoke and the emotional journey they went on in retelling their experiences.  It is the goal of the performance to not only allow me to come to a deeper understanding of what I seek from a partner or how I understand romantic longing, but for the audience themselves to explore, reminisce, and perhaps even revise what love means for them.

“The way he morphed himself into these other people really showed tremendous skill.  There were times when I couldn’t even tell if he was young, if he was old, because he was so good at becoming other characters, he really flummoxed me, he’s that much of a chameleon.  He did the best thing possible, he made me hungry for more.  I enjoyed it immeasurably.”
